The officers of Detectives’ Division and District Inspectors’ Division under Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of jointly held operative-search and investigative activities, detained two persons: M.A. (DoB 1975) and M.M. (DoB 1983) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in, especially large quantities.
Committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
Law enforcers stopped detainees while they were moving on the territory of Gardabani municipality by the minibus owned by M.M. During the personal search and search activities held in a vehicle, police seized 42 packages of drug substance containing “Heroin”.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph “A” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
